“On the second day in the hospital, after an extensive surgery, I thought to myself, ‘What am I doing here? What would the Rebbe want from me in such a situation? What would the Rebbe demand from me?’
“And look what’s happening outside - there is a pandemic raging in the world, with no clear solution.
“I came to the conclusion that the only thing I can do is not to double my efforts but to triple my efforts.
“The only way to get out of this difficult situation - personally, and for the entire world - is by doing more.”

“We will renew the Simcha Fund throughout the Rebbe’s 120th year for every shliach making a Bar Mitzvah, a wedding, or celebrating a birth.
“We will establish a Yom Tov Fund for every shliach who needs help to make Yomim Tovim, either Pesach or Rosh Hashana. Anyone who turns to us will get a check to personally help them make their Yom Tov.
“I undertake tonight, in honor of the Rebbe’s 120th year, to give funds to build 120 new Mikvaos around the world.
“We will give 360 Shluchim start-up funds to be able to buy a library in their Chabad House.
“We will write 36 new Sifrei Torah in honor of the Rebbe and the Rebbetzins, and give it to 36 Shluchim who do not have their own Sefer Torah. We will complete this project by the end of the Rebbe’s 120th year.
“We will open up 120 new Shluchim going out to do hafatzos hamayanos, among which there will be 25 Shluchei Torah. 120 new Shluchim to go out to the world and bring the message of Torah and Mitzvos and the coming of Moshiach.
“120 new Hebrew Schools will be funded, with everything that CKids has to offer, from Merkos 302.
“Over the next year and a half, we will make 1,200 pairs of Merkos Shlichus - meaning 2,400 young rabbis who will go out to the world and dedicate their Pesach, Tishrei, or Chanukah to be able to make a Yom Tov for other people around the world.
“We will incentivize Shluchim to reach out to 10 new Jews and do one more mitzvah a day, and gather 120 million mitzvos for the Rebbe to see what his Shluchim are doing around the world.
“We will open an Israeli desk for the Shluchim that are serving communities of Israelis, and for Shluchim in Eretz Yisroel, and support at least 120 more shluchim to enable them to reach each and every Jew.
“We will open new CTeen Lounges, new After-school programs, and provide special Yom Tov grants to Shluchim that have special needs children.
“We will not rest until we reach each and every Jew in this world to do one more mitzvah. Until there is truly no Jew left behind!
“This is what we undertake tonight - to make this a reality this year, in the Rebbe’s 120th year, to bring so many besuros tovos to the Ribono shel Olan and say ‘the world is ready to be redeemed!’”
